Isabelle Bosquet
Garden, “A Garden Party”

As founder and principal of Manhattan floral design company Fleurisa, Isabelle Bosquet has created floral arrangements and decors for scores of stylish parties and events. Her eBay Showhouse "non-garden" is an outdoor oasis not intended for weeding and trimming. Instead, the backyard area is meant for entertaining friends, having parties, sipping champagne and spending afternoons reading. By incorporating elements like whimsical wire furniture and life-size angels, Bosquet transformed her space into a heavenly and very relaxing patio.

Sheila Bridges
Dining Room, “Let's Dish”

Sheila Bridges, founder of Sheila Bridges Design Inc. and host of the Fine Living network's "Sheila Bridges Designer Living," has decorated a dining area perfect for intimate dinners or formal parties. Bridges decided to forgo the traditional dining room table and focus instead on ceramic dishes as the central theme. "While I can do without a dining table, I can't do without a nice plate," explains Bridges. "If unexpected guests show up, just grab a plate off the wall and make it a dinner party!"
Shawn Henderson
Breakfast Room, “More Than a Nook”

Shawn Henderson, head of a New York City-based design firm, has developed a breakfast room that gives the term “casual dining” a whole new meaning.
From a pink suede sofa (courtesy of the old Enron offices) to a pair of matching modern Danish arm chairs, the space mixes modern pieces with clean contemporary lines.
Bigger than your average breakfast room, this space features both a dining area as well as a sitting/lounge space to accommodate a variety of uses.

Thomas Jayne
Living Room, “Mirror, Mirror On The Wall”

Thomas Jayne, owner of Thomas Jayne Inc, has created a dramatic foyer and living room with flair. “Modern decoration is about layers of objects, made or collected, presented in a useful and ideally artful manner,” says Jayne, whose initial eBay purchase of vintage wallpaper serves as the room’s key element. By putting seating on one side of his living room and a big table on the other, Thomas created symmetry and a frame for his space. The other elements, including mirrors, paper, photographs and fabric are treated in a mosaic-like fashion in an attempt to fuse function and art.

Lulu deKwiatkowski
Master Bedroom, “Not Your Parents' Bedroom”

Lulu de Kwiatkowski, owner of fabric and design company LULU DK, has worked her way up the ranks to become a true presence in the design industry. The tone of her feminine yet edgy master bedroom is set by bold gemoetric wallpaper. Her space mixes Eames era décor with bright folk art, a large oriental antique bed with a Knoll credenza, and a red-lacquered table with a white cowhide rug. Together, the elements create an air of youthful elegance swirled with a touch of whimsy.

David Netto
Nursery, “The Stylish Baby ”

David Netto, a New York City-based furniture designer, has made a nursery fit for a little prince or princess. The room is an original mix of past, present and future, blending 1970s retro pop elements with Upper East Side sophistication and clean Danish Modernism. Polka dots and intense, happy colors are juxtaposed with delicate white relief to keep the room fresh and fun. A ‘Picnic in the Park’ theme incorporates a series of colorful botanical prints, grassy green carpet, a lacquered picnic table and hanging lanterns.
Katie Ridder
Sitting Room, “Curio Cabinet”

Katie Ridder, head of Katie Ridder Design & Decoration, turned an ordinary space into a global-inspired “cabinet of curiosities.” Her room of collections features eclectic items from all over the world—including everything from sea urchins and tiles to an antique bone lobster from Shanghai and a framed ship diorama. “I imagine someone living here who is sophisticated; who is a traveler and likes to collect organic things—things from the sea, and lands that have been abandoned,” explains Ridder.

Matthew Patrick Smyth
Library, “High-Tech With a Taste of Traditionalism”

Matthew Patrick Smyth, who has his own design firm in New York City, has created a library which blends the old with the new. Smyth selected a pair of light pine bookcases as the focal point of the room and built a freestanding fireplace mantel to capture the Old World charm of a traditional library. Featuring items such as a 42-inch plasma screen TV, a Dell 4600 computer with LCD monitor, presidential busts and classics-filled bookshelves, Matthew’s room mixes new gadgetry with sophisticated and conventional décor.

David Lees
The Home Gym, “Fitness Getaway”

David Lees has redefined the idea of what a home exercise room can be, by transforming a windowless, low-ceiling basement into an exotic “fitness getaway.” “Rather than making exercise a chore, I wanted to create a fun experience where one can escape from the stress of everyday life, and be transported to a tropical paradise.”
